The following message is being sent on behalf of Lisa Castle, Associate Vice President, Human Resources, and David Farrar, Provost and Vice President Academic, to faculty and staff in Vancouver.
Share your experience at UBC—please visit http://www.focusonpeople.ubc.ca and take the 2011 Workplace Experiences Survey. The survey is available now until November 18, 2011.
Open to UBC faculty and staff, the survey asks for your input in various areas, including opportunities for advancement, leadership and workloads. Complete the survey during your regular work day – it should take about 15 to 20 minutes.
All survey responses are anonymous and confidential. Ipsos Reid, a third-party survey consultant in Canada, is administering the survey and generating survey results reports for the University. These reports are expected to be available in early 2012, and will be shared with faculty and staff.
The survey findings will be used to help inform future strategic priorities and initiatives at UBC, both for the University overall and individual Faculties, departments, and units. These decisions will rely on the experiences captured in the survey data, so please ensure your voice is heard and participate in the survey. More information about the survey is available at http://www.focusonpeople.ubc.ca. To find out about the work that has been done based on the 2009 Workplace Experiences Survey findings, please visit http://www.focusonpeople.ubc.ca/workplace-experiences-survey.
