To: All Students, Faculty and Staff at UBC’s Vancouver campus
The University is offering free influenza (flu) immunizations to UBC students, faculty and staff at clinics throughout UBC Vancouver this November.
Visit the Risk Management Services website at www.riskmanagement.ubc.ca to reserve your spot at a clinic near you.
Risk Management Services has partnered with the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Nursing and Student Health Services to coordinate the free clinics. This year, inter-professional teams of medical, nursing and pharmacy students will administer the vaccinations under direct supervision of registered nurses.
The influenza (flu) vaccine is a safe and effective way to help people stay healthy, prevent illness, and even save lives. The influenza virus can cause serious illness and even death in people with certain chronic health conditions. The influenza vaccine is the best protection against influenza illness and its complications.
