UBC Telephone Service Inbound Calling Issue

To: All UBC faculty and staff

A network issue on the Henry Angus telephone switch is currently disrupting inbound (off-campus) dialing to approximately 8,000 UBC phone numbers. These are UBC phone numbers that are routed into UBC from Telus through our main telephone switch. Outbound calls or calls placed between campus phones are not impacted.

You can confirm whether a number is impacted by dialing the UBC number from a mobile phone, or another off-campus phone.

UBC is currently working on restoring service with its support providers. We expect this issue will be resolved by 12PM Thursday June 20, 2013. However, in case of any delay in resolution, updates on this issue will be posted on the UBC IT website: http://bulletins.it.ubc.ca or via Twitter at @UBCIToutages
