Copyright law is not static. Over the coming two years, we are anticipating several developments in copyright law that will require continued vigilance on the part of faculty, staff and the university administration.

Recognizing the importance of this issue, I wanted to share some updates around progress and next steps. These include an extension of the consultation process and a series of information sessions.
Message from Professor Santa Ono – developing a new UBC vision
One of my top priorities over the coming academic year will be the development of a new vision and strategic plan for UBC.
UBC has been extremely well served by Place and Promise, the plan introduced in 2009 by President Stephen Toope; since then, however, the world has changed in many ways, and our university needs to revisit its goals and priorities to reflect those changes.
