On behalf of the UBC Board of Governors, I would like to thank all those who attended today’s meeting to share their views about board governance.
The board invited representatives of student, faculty, staff and alumni groups to attend today’s board meeting for a discussion on governance. We also welcomed written submissions from any member of the university community.
The board appreciated the full, frank and thoughtful dialogue, and we will carefully consider all the views and recommendations presented today as we work to strengthen board governance. In particular, I have asked the governance committee to review the submissions in detail and report back in June with recommended actions. Anyone who was unable to attend the meeting can still submit comments via email to bog.ubc@ubc.ca
