You are cordially invited to the formal installation of Professor Santa J. Ono as the 15th President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of British Columbia on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. There are a number of events scheduled throughout the day, including some that will be live webcast.

Installation ceremony

10:00–11:30 a.m. — The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, Vancouver campus

The installation ceremony will be a lively and entertaining event to welcome Professor Ono. The ceremony will be live webcast on president.ubc.ca/installation and on facebook.com/universityofbc/

Celebrating discovery: Four visionary thinkers – a forum hosted by Professor Santa J. Ono

3:00–5:00 p.m. — Old Auditorium, Vancouver campus

Join Professor Ono as he interacts with thought leaders in the areas of brain health (Dr. Lara Boyd), robotics (Dr. Elizabeth Croft), music (Hussein Janmohamed) and mathematics (Dr. Ken Ono). The forum will be live webcast on president.ubc.ca/installation and on facebook.com/universityofbc/

Celebration concert

7:30–9:00 p.m. — The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, Vancouver campus

Attend a celebration concert featuring students and faculty members from the UBC School of Music, and special musical guests.
