UBC Life Building now open

To: Students in Vancouver

The new UBC Life Building is now open at 6138 Student Union Boulevard (right beside the AMS Nest). The accessible and centrally located building has additional study space, food outlets, and is the new home of four important student programs and services.

1. The ARC (Activities & Recreation Centre)

The ARC is an expansion of the existing fitness facilities on campus, giving you more options for a balanced, physically active life at UBC. This new space includes state-of-the-art cardio machines, strength training equipment, and dedicated areas for circuit training and functional exercises.

2. Go Global

Go Global offers international learning programs for UBC students, including Exchange, Summer Study, Research Abroad, and Global Seminars. Connect with Go Global to find out how you can add a new perspective to your degree with an international experience.

3. The Wellness Centre

The Wellness Centre is your starting place for a healthier student life. The Centre is staffed by trained Wellness Peer educators who can help you navigate health and wellness resources on campus. You can visit the Centre to get peer-to-peer tips for healthy living, buy safer sex products, connect with the ‘Nurse on Campus’ program, and much more.

4. International Student Advising

International Student Advising supports international and refugee students at UBC. Connect with International Student Advisors or Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) for information about a range of topics from immigration and health insurance to life and cultural transitions.
