Share your experience in the 2019 Workplace Experiences Survey Pulse

If you are a manager of staff whose work is not computer-based, please print this email and display it in a common work area for them to review.

Two years ago, we asked faculty and staff to share their experiences of UBC as a workplace.

We are now inviting you to tell us what you think, via the 2019 Workplace Experiences Survey (WES) Pulse, a shorter version of the WES. You can access the survey at* https://wes.ubc.ca.

The pulse survey includes questions about topics that were identified as top areas of opportunity in the 2017 WES (professional growth, health & wellbeing, leadership, and inclusion & respect), which are priorities that are woven into UBC’s strategic people framework, Focus on People 2025. By taking part in this pulse survey, you can potentially shape the actions and activities identified in the framework, which provides a significant contribution to the UBC strategic plan, Shaping UBC’s Next Century.

I hope you will take the time to share your thoughts. The online survey will take less than five minutes to complete and responses are confidential. The deadline for responses is November 25, 2019.

Reports will be prepared for UBC overall, by campus, as well as at the unit and department level (for units/departments with 10 or more respondents). You can learn more at http://ubc.ca/wes. I strongly encourage you to share your experiences via this survey.

* The survey link will redirect to an external website hosted by our Canadian-based, third-party consultant TalentMap. The survey includes general demographic questions, however you will not be asked to provide personal information such as your CWL or password. If you have any concerns, contactworkplace.surveys@ubc.ca.
