Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) is held each year at UBC in January, and aims to raise awareness and understanding about the issues surrounding sexual assault. Several events have been planned for the month, including Denim Day on Wednesday, January 18. On this day, you can choose to wear denim or a Denim Day sticker to show your support for ending sexual assault on campus.

Today is GivingTuesday, an international day dedicated to giving back. It is a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others.
The term of Professor Deborah Buszard, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal of UBC Okanagan, is coming to an end in June 2017. Professor Buszard has indicated her willingness to be considered for reappointment. In accordance with Board policy, an Advisory Committee has been struck to examine Professor Buszard’s performance since her first appointment in 2012 and to make a recommendation to the President concerning her reappointment.
